One of my favorite subjects to paint are butterflies. This particular painting of amonarch on a stargazer lily, is a watercolor done by me, back in 1997. These insects are so colorful and pretty. Each species is completely different from the next, so I never get bored painting them. Someday, I hope to create butterfly knowledge cards. These cards would be used for fun and at the same time guidance for anyone who wishes to use them for this purpose. Many angel knowledge cards are used for the same reasons. Even though I find it hard to make time to paint these days due to my young children, I still intend on painting many more butterfly compositions for the future project I mentioned above.

That is a gorgeus water color painting, Lydia, so vivid and pretty. The idea with the butterfly knowledge cards is very good and could help you establish a new business, just like the cookbook. You are on the right way, lots of promises lie ahead.
Thank you so much for the compliment. I have a habit in painting, I can't seem to get away from vivid colors. I don't know why, but even if I intend for paintings to look more muted, they end up vivid and colorful. I will get my hubby to take more pics of my art soon. I did a beautiful madigascan moonmoth in watercolor, but I gave it to my friend's daughter for a gift afew years back. talk to you soon. Lydia.
I think it might be a good idea to update your personal profile.
Your readers might want to know your birthdate and education, you might mention that you attended art courses at college (Which one? Give the name) and are doing water color painting as a free lance artist.
You could also mention your projects:
1. Preparing the publication of a deck of Butterfly Knowledge Cards with your own water colors of butterflies as guidance for meditation.
2. Preparing the publication of a cookbook with 50 recipes of alternative gardening and healthy living, with your own fotos.
I think all of this information is useful for your readers and belongs into your profile.
Also I would place a large portrait foto there - so people can see who you are and what you look like.
You have got nothing to hide and may be proud of yourself. Show the world who you are and what you do.
Hi Olivia, I am going to up date my profile. I should mention that there is a photo of me in my stuffed zucchini blog. If you click on my photo it gets bigger so you can see me easier. Thanks for the publishers advice. Lydia
I clicked on the picture and saw it. That's a very nice photo. People probably don't know they can enlarge it. Why don't you place a short line beneath:
An additional portrait photo in the profile section will be interesting. Place something more formal there or something artistic, for example yourself with a painting.
I am a married mother of two.
I've decided to start a blog about cooking, art, organic gardening and my wonderful experiences while practicing a healthy lifestyle. Since I've never been a fan of meat, I am a vegan and have been one for many years. Lately, on rare occasions, I do find myself craving fresh fish and seafood. Cheese doesn't agree with me, even though I like it, so I eat soy products in place of dairy. Working out and spending as much time outdoors as I can during the summer months, is something I do often. I try to get out to work in my vegetable garden at least four times a week. It's so important for me to keep myself connected to nature. The best way for me to do this, is by being outdoors working in the soil. Painting is one of my favorite hobbies. Even though I didn't finish, I do have some college behind me. My major was in Art Education. Hopefully, I will get more time to paint as my children get older and I get more time to myself. By having this blog, I am also able to share many of my late mother's home cooked Italian recipes, my recipes and some of my close friend's recipes with others.
